I sat down to write some more Zaibatsu Project today.  And then... stared blankly at the page.

And then went and read the entire thing over again because I'd half forgotten what I was doing. >_>  The problem with the long hiatus is all those little in-jokes and chess/Cure references etc have all kinda faded out in my head, and it's been a long time since I've written anything Ruroken at all that I don't feel in touch with the characters any more.  My brain has been sunk into One Piece for a good long while, now.  (Side note of trivia:  did you know Oda worked as an assistant on Rurouni Kenshin?  He even created and designed one of the characters.  Kamatari.  Which just goes to show the guy can actually come up with an attractive cross-dresser after all. >_>)

Anyway.  I said a while ago I was trying to get back into writing, and I seem to have done a fair bit of late.  But before I go back to Zai proper I suspect I'm gonna have to go and read the manga again just to get character voice back again.

Alas.  Such a horrible thing to have to do. |Da

I am still faintly amazed that I've written over 150 pages of Zai.  What.  What is that.  Dedication of the wrong kind, that's what.

In other news, we've entered the deathly quiet period of the year again in which I get no work.  Hopefully this time they don't change email addresses without telling me, eh?

Huh! That is cool! I never would have guessed Oda had a hand in him/her.

I've just started to re-read all the chapters to Zaibatsu, and its just as amazing as I remembered it was when I first started reading it back in '09.

Seriously, if you were to just change the names, you could sell it off as one of the best cyberpunk novels ever written.

I can definitely understand how hard it can be to hear your characters' voices again. I wish you all the best of luck!!! And I'll be cheering for you.

Thank you! :D I'm getting there-- out of all my writing projects, Zai is the one I have the most interest in completing. I haven't written anything for a good while now, so I think I just need to shake some rust off and see if I can fnid my muse under here somewhere. Hopefully I'll get back to it within a month or two.
